Milton Band Student Mentor Progam

The purpose of the Milton Music Mentoring program is to provide voluntary instrumental music instruction to the middle and elementary schools within the surrounding communities of Milton High School and Alpharetta High School. 

The mentoring program encourages participation and enjoyment in the band classroom by giving younger students the opportunity to work with high school band members who exhibit high standards of musicianship, character and enjoyment of the band program.   Any member of the Milton band program that has qualified for an auditioned ensemble and has experience with leadership and director approval may participate in the mentoring program.   

Mentors agree to a schedule to assist a particular ensemble, section or individual student.

We are very fortunate at Milton to have such a dedicated group of parents working to ensure the band program’s success now and into the future. The Milton Band Foundation has provided our program with instruments, equipment and the sponsorship of our student mentoring program thereby enabling the best possible musical experience for our students. Through the efforts of the Foundation and the generosity of our parents, alumni and corporate sponsors, we look forward to building an endowment that can ensure the future success and growth of the Milton band program.
